Data protection

How we use your data

In principle, we process users’ personal data only insofar as this is necessary for the provision of a functional website and of our content and services. The processing of users’ personal data regularly occurs only with the consent of the user. An exception applies in cases in which prior consent cannot be obtained for reasons of fact and the processing of the data is permitted by legal regulations.


The legal bases for the processing operations are determined according to the EU Data Protection Regulation according to Art. 6 Para. 1. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or according to the relevant national laws.
The personal data of the individual affected will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of the storage ceases to apply. Storage may also occur if provided for by legal regulations to which the responsible party is subject. Blocking or deletion of the data also occurs when a storage period prescribed by the standards named expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for completion of a contract or fulfilment of a contract.

 

The individual affected by the data processing is not subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, which has a legal effect on the individual or, in a similar manner, significantly affects the individual.

Data Storage
Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the computer that accessing our website.


Temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to allow delivery of the website to the user’s computer. For these purposes, our legitimate interest in the processing of data according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
 

If you contact us using the form on the TALIS FESTIVAL & ACADEMY website or by e-mail, the data you have entered will be stored by us for a period of 12 months in order to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.
 

In the case of the formation of a contract, all data from the contractual relationship are stored until fulfillment of the contract, unless you give us consent to continue to use the personal data for information purposes (newsletter).

 

Cookies
The TALIS FESTIVAL & ACADEMY website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser. They cause no harm.


We use cookies to make our offerings user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

We have entered into a corresponding contract for contract data processing with the provider.
 

The data processing is conducted on the basis of the GDPR.
 

Our concern in line with the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to improve our offerings and our web appearance. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is made pseudonymous.

Our website provides you with social media plug-ins to various social networks. If you want to interact with a social network such as Facebook or Twitter (for example, by registering an account), your activity on our website or through our apps will also be reported to the corresponding social network. Newsletter
You have an opportunity to subscribe to the TALIS FESTIVAL & ACADEMY newsletter via our website. For this, we need your e-mail address and your explicit declaration that you agree with the subscription to the newsletter. In addition, the IP address of the computer that is accessing our website as well as the date and time of registration are stored.
In order to provide you with purpose-directed information, we also collect and process details you have voluntarily provided about your birthday, postal code, and telephone number.


As soon as you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm your registration.
 

You can deactivate your subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation request to the following e-mail address: info@talisfestival.com. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter delivery.

 

Your Rights
In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, repeal, and contestation. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can lodge a complaint to the regulatory authority.
