Collaborate and learn in one of Europe's most historic and diverse cities.

Talis Festival & Academy offers a number of valuable learning and performing opportunities for high potential chamber musicians and composers in the unique city of Sarajevo.

Performance Fellowship

Intensive chamber music program where young artists (Fellows) and professionals (Resident Artists) work together as peers. Chamber groups are coached by the Resident Artists to prepare performances before an audience. The Talis Academy is a performance program in which the participating Fellows are immersed in a musical environment where preparation to performance moves at a very fast pace.  Designed to emulate professional situations, Academy Fellows prepare for high performance standards with minimal rehearsals.

All accepted Academy Fellows are eligible for scholarships.

Composition Fellowship

Composer Fellows will be given the chance to work on their music while collaborating with professional musicians in an intensive chamber music program. The program includes a concert premiere of a piece, score reading sessions, private lessons and workshops with Talis Festival Guest Composer Philippe Racine. All accepted Academy Fellow Composers are eligible for scholarships.

2024 Resident Artists

The following Resident Artists will be participating: Ming-Feng Hsin (violin), Wen Qian (violin), Sarah Kollé (soprano), Ditta Rohmann (cello), Pawel Cal (French horn), Andrea Kollé (flute), Natsuki Fukasawa (piano), among others.
