Julia Malkova was born in St. Petersburg and started playing the violin at the age of 6 in her hometown. Later, she was enrolled at the St. Petersburg Rimski-Korsakov Music College, studying viola with Prof. Elena Panfilova and Vladimir Stopichev.

Ms. Malkova has worked with Valery Gergiev, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Garcia Navarro and performed with the Mariinsky-Theater, Madrid Symphony, Symphony Orchestra Radio Television Española, Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana in "Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia", among others.
