
Carrie Dennis
Carrie Dennis first started playing the violin when she was only 3 years old. At the age of 16, she attended the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and an Artist Diploma in Viola Performance. Mrs Dennis studied viola with Joe Depasquale, Boston Symphony and Philadelphia Orchestra principal, as well as Michael Tree of the Guarneri Quartet.
From 2002 to 2006, Mrs. Dennis joined the Philadelphia Orchestra. In 2006 she was appointed Principal Viola at the Berlin Philharmonic and from 2008 she served as the Principal Violist at the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
In addition, Mrs Dennis has attended some of the most prominent music festivals like Verbier, Moritzburg,Tanglewood, Marlboro to name a few. As a chamber musician, playing both Violin and Viola she can be heard performing with the ambient electronic group Mico Nonet.
